Needs a look first

Anything that may need a permit, and jobs that run several days. Send photos or I visit, then you get a written scope.

I refer it out

Roofing, siding, gutters, chimneys, structural work, plumbing, electrical and HVAC, ramps and lifts, and plaster. On larger projects I bring in registered trades for those phases.

What each answer means

Home repair and punch lists

Punch lists grouped into a half-day or full-day visit, and larger repair projects.

What to have ready

  • Photos: one wide shot of the whole space, then closer shots of each spot.
  • A list of every task, so I can group them into one visit.

Finish work and interior improvements

Careful work on the surfaces you see and touch, room by room or across a whole floor.

What to have ready

  • Photos of the space, with a few words on the look you want.
  • Rough measurements, if you have them.

Tile and flooring

Tile for floors, walls and backsplash.

What to have ready

  • Photos of the area, including any cracked or loose tile.
  • Rough measurements, and whether any water problem has been fixed.

Wood restoration and custom woodworking

Wood restoration and refinishing, plus custom vanities, shelving and built-ins made to order in my workshop. Pieces are assessed first, and custom pieces are quoted after a visit.

What to have ready

  • Photos of the whole piece, then close-ups of any damage.
  • A few words on what you want done.
  • For a custom piece: photos of the space and rough measurements. In the form, choose Remodel or larger project.

Basement work

Permit handling, schedule and price are agreed in a written scope first.

What to have ready

  • Photos of the whole space, with rough measurements.
  • A short list of what you want done.

Ground-level exterior repair

Trim repair you can reach from the ground, then prime and paint, and small concrete or masonry repair.

Listed under Finish work and interior improvements

What to have ready

  • Photos from a few steps back, then up close.
  • Say where the damage is, and whether you can reach it from the ground.
